FOX INTERNATIONAL CHANNELS ACQUIRES PARAMOUNT STAKE IN LAPTV, LATIN AMERICA’S LEADING OPERATOR OF PREMIUM CHANNELS

FOX International Channels (FIC) today announced the purchase of Paramount Pictures share of LAPTV, bringing FIC’s ownership of the company to 100%. LAPTV is the leading operator of premium movie channels in Latin America.

Paramount has also extended its long-term content output agreement with FOX International Channels. The deal gives FIC access to new Paramount feature films in Latin America, (excluding Brazil). LAPTV operates Moviecity and other leading premium channel brands, also has a long-term content output agreement with MGM, Universal Studio andTwentieth Century FOX.

Known for offering the best premium video entertainment experience in Latin America, Moviecity is an innovative company that pioneered TV Everywhere services by being first to launch Moviecity Play, its VOD authenticated platform in 2011. Moviecity Play is a compelling extension that enables users to access great content including series, movies and kids programming at any time, on any device.
