LUZ MARINA ARANGO ANDINA LINK

Andina Link Cartagena from March 3 to 6, is an event that for 22 years has gathered the Pay TV industry of Colombia, the Andean region and also in recent times, Central America.

TVMAS after covering in partnership as a media sponsor, to important events like NATPE held in Miami last January, DISCOP in Turkey is prepared to actively participate, as it has done for 16 years, for ANDINALINK in Cartagena.

The event offers an agenda that reflects the opportunities and market changes of Pay TV that have reconfigured the Colombian local industry. The Une andTigo merger, the expansion of  medium carriers, the emergence of new licensees and conversion of Community TV, among other hot topics.

As a novelty Telefónica will show its positioning in the region and the independents of Peru will be present led by Ovidio Rueda, the Zamora brothers, (Ananias Escamilo and Demosthenes Terrones), Ecuador (with Santiago Barrionuevo in front of independent cables) and Costa Rica (with Manuel Acosta of Cabletica), the Venezuelans are also expected.

We anticipate that Andina Link has brought together the three cameras that bring together Venezuelan Pay TV, but the local economic situation, especially the lack of access to foreign exchange, will make Venezuela shine by their absence.

This year, Luz Marina Arango creator and organizer of the event, will make a new edition of FICA, with a focus on technological convergence that is transforming Pay TV.

Piracy is another agenda item with a panel integrated by Martha Ochoa (DirecTV), Dolly Montoya Rodriguez  (the Attorney General’s Telecommunications Group Protection Coordinator,) Angel Ventling (US Embassy) and Liliana Ariza (Ministry of Industry and Trade), among others.

TVMAS will provide a comprehensive coverage of this regional event of Pay TV, as it has been doing for 16 years, and after the coverage last February in Turkey, DISCOP Istanbul. (see information in www.tvmasmagazine.com)
