Children’s Programming: Nickelodeon expands partnership with Corus Entertainment

Nickelodeon is expanding its partnership with Corus Entertainment on a long-term agreement that grants exclusive rights to English and French of all content across digital and linear platforms in Canada.

Corus becomes the sole owner distributor and the catalog rights of Nickelodeon in Canada and its deal grants Corus the ability to exploit the content via non-linear platforms including OTT, SVOD, electronic sales, games and linear mobile applications.

“This is new phase of our partnership with Nickelodeon based on 10 years as a steward of trust for the brand,” said Doug Murphy, president and CEO of Corus Entertainment. The objective is to exploit the Nickelodeon high quality content which gives competitive advantages and to also offer young, the smart digital consumers in Canada and their families’ full access to Nickelodeon brands.
