CBS Studios International and Bafot Studios closed a licensing agreement in Nigeria for Kids Say the Darndest Things series to debut in AIT both in terrestrial television and DSTV Channel 253 on June 21. In each episode, conductor, actor and DJ Tony Okungbowa asks children questions facing a live audience; the answers are real, by which gives the show a tender and unpredictable quality that resonates with audiences of all ages.

“Is not only family entertainment but also a global brand that has impacted audiences around the world because children are where they are the same, on any continent, are equal: are pure, have no filters, are innocent and very, very funny. I think Nigeria is the place to launch ‘Kids Say the Darndest Things’, so that local children can talk about a variety of topics ranging from sports to family and politics” emphasized Eric Schotz, Executive Consultant of the show.

In the executive production are Oludare Onasanya, Bafot Studios and AIT who bring this format to Africa and Nigeria for the first time, said Roxanne Pompa, vice president International Sales and production for CBS Studios International.

The show was broadcast initially as a segment of the radio show House Party and the subsequent television show Art Linkletter’s House Party, to air simultaneously from 1945 to 1969. The program returned in 1995 as a special on CBS, and then as a series from 1998 and 2000.
