Paula Cavalcanti
FremantleMedia hopes to strengthen its presence in the territory of Brazil with the appointment of former executive of TV Bandeirantes, Paula Cavalcanti, as Chief Executive Officer.
Based in São Paulo, Cavalcanti will report to Sangeeta Desai, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Executive Officer, Emerging Markets.
The executive took Daniela Busoli’s place, who left FremantleMedia last month to start her own company.
Paula is now responsible for the daily operation with a green light for the development and production of programming for all platforms, working closely with global production, licensing and sales teams.
Paula has built a brilliant career and most recently served as production manager of the air channel Bandeirantes Group, and the Bandsports and Bandnews cable channels.
Sangeeta Desai said Paula is a highly experienced and talented creative, with strong relationships in the Brazilian market, by which is expected to boost business in this important country.
Paula on the other hand, is confident that FremantleMedia with the reputation of having high-quality content is a springboard to unleash their creativity. “It is an exciting time and I am sure that working with the team to create local content and bring some of the leading brands of FremantleMedia to the Brazilian market FremantleMedia, it will be not only a challenge but a great pleasure.”
