Endemol Shine Latino wagers on Michelle Wasserman to grow in the United States

The Latin American subsidiary of Endemol Shine North America Content Group, Endemol Shine Latino, has decided to transfer Michelle Wasserman, SVP of format license and content development for Latin America, from its Buenos Aires offices to its base in Miami.

This is because Michelle will have to continue attending operations for Latin America, but she will also be in charge of the operations for the Hispanic market in the United States. This was announced by Laurens Drillich, President of Endemol Shine Latino.

And it is that Michelle Wasserman in the last five years from the offices in Argentina, increased programming sales and surpassed the company’s development initiatives in LATAM.

Endemol Shine Latino, a division of Endemol Shine North America, will continue to manage operations in Spanish and Portuguese in Latin America, including Endemol Shine Boomdog, the newly launched studio that produces original content for both the US Hispanic market as for Mexico.

“Over the past six years, Michelle has done a phenomenal job in directing our distribution of formats across Latin America, expanding Endemol Shine’s reach in the region with some of our most successful formats,” said Drillich. “She is a star saleswoman and a great professional and I am very excited that she joins our team in Miami and occupies the office next door,” he added.

“I am very excited about the opportunity to work closely with Laurens and our Endemol Shine Latino team,” she said. “I am very fortunate to increase our customers’ business and work with the production teams in Latin America, while at the same time expand my functions I see greater opportunities when acquiring new responsibilities.”

Michelle has sold supervised the development of dozens of Endemol Shine formats in Latin America, such as MasterChef, Big Brother, My Name Is and other titles. Recently, she was key in the implementation in Sao Paulo of a center for the regional production of the hit series without script The Wall, which includes local versions for Argentina, Colombia, Uruguay, Chile and Brazil.

Michelle brings an incredible trajectory. She was Director of International Operations for Telefe (2007-2012). With Telefe she led an international team of 20 employees of the company, while supervising the distribution of programming, sales of formats and production services. She began working with Telefe in 2002, held several different positions for the company and directed its international restructuring in 2006. Previously, she held different sales and promotion roles with Admira Media, PSN (Pan American Sports Network), Fox Latin America Channel and Telemax.
