Rua Aguete is one of the directors of the multinational OMDIA, which for the second consecutive year will make the opening report of the 4K HDR Summit 2020.

In the same vein, OMDIA’s principal investigator, Paul Gray, considered the world’s leading 4K and 8K analyst, predicts that “despite the coronavirus, 4K TV sales will continue to be very strong in all markets. Although I am not so optimistic about the 8K”.

In this year’s edition of the 4K HDR Summit, Michel Chabrol, one of the pioneers of UHD worldwide, will be recognized. The former vice president of the French multinational Eutelsat, who has been one of the leading speakers of 4K worldwide, has retired after traveling half the world as one of the “evangelists” of Ultra High Definition (UHD).

The 4K HDR Summit, organized by Medina Media Events, celebrates its sixth edition, the first virtual one, from November 17 to 20, and it has been participated in since 2015 by the “top engineers” and the “top content producers” of television worldwide , to share, once a year, the advances and projects of the UHD.

This year the “speaker of honor” is Marcos Santana, president of Telemundo Global Studios, and among the more than 30 speakers, the presidents of the UHD Alliance (Michael Zink, Warner Bros.); from the Ultra HD Forum (Thierry Fautier, Harmonic); and the 8K Association (Chris Chinnock, Insight Media), who in addition to their presentations will star in a unique debate on the UHD world calendar.
