The pay TV channel owned by SOMOSTV, company chaired by Luis Villanueva and part of SOMOS Group, presents this March 6 to its audience in the United States and Puerto Rico the Especial de los Premios Goya

Will include films from Spain that were nominated and awarded for this important award. The Goya Awards are sponsored by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, becoming Spain’s main award in this industry. ViendoMovies schedules for this special event 11 films: Campeones, Tarde Para La Ira, Handia, El Hombre De Las Mil Caras, Que Dios Nos Perdone, La Novia, Anacleto Agente Secreto, El Desconocido, La Llamada, Palmeras En La Nieve Y Truman.

Among the most awarded films is Campeones, with 11 nominations (winning best film) and 31 international nominations. Directed by Javier Fesser, this sports comedy with a touch of drama features the participation of great stars such as Javier Gutiérrez and Jesús Vidal. The film transmits a human sense and focuses on the story of Marco, a professional basketball coach who, out of misconduct, is sends to coach a team of people with disabilities. What begins as a problem becomes a life lesson about beautiful feelings and the spirit of overcoming in every human being.

Tarde Para La Ira is a thriller based in Madrid in 2007, when Curro (Juan Callejo) enters prison after participating in a jewelry heist. Curro was the driver, and the only one arrested for the robbery. Eight years later he leaves prison wanting to embark on a new life with his girlfriend Ana and son, but he will encounter an unexpected situation and a stranger, José (Antonio de la Torre). This film was nominated for 11 Goya Awards (including Best Film) and 48 International Awards.

Handia

Handia with 13 nominations in the Goya and 24 international nominations, is a drama based on real events that tells the story of Martin, a soldier who returns from the First Carlist War to discover that his younger brother, Joaquin, is much taller than normal. Convinced that everyone will want to pay to see the greatest man on Earth, both brothers embark on a long journey through Europe in which ambition, money and fame will forever change the fate of the family.

Completing the featured films is El Hombre De Las Mil Caras. Based on real events, Francisco Paesa (Eduard Fernández), former secret agent of the Spanish government and responsible for the most important operation against ETA in history, is involved in a case of extortion and has to flee the country. When he returns, years later, he received the visit of Luis Roldán (Carlos Santos), former Director General of the Guardia Civil, and his wife Nieves Fernández Puerto (Marta Etura), who offer him a million dollars if he helps them save 1.5 billion pesetas stolen from the public age. This film was nominated for 11 Goya Awards and 48 International Awards.
