DreamWorks Channel arrives in Latin America

NBCUniversal International Networks & Direct-to-Consumer (NBCUIN & DTC) confirmed the arrival of the DreamWorks channel to Latin America and, in Chile, through VTR from this March on the country’s main cable operator.

The offering includes hits like Shrek and How to Train Your Dragon 2 and 3 and plus Sing

The new offer arrives in Chile with a list of content that highlights series such as A Boss in Diapers: Back in Business, Trolls: don’t miss a beat!, The epic adventures of Captain Underpants, The adventures of the Cat with Boots, Long live King Julien and Dawn of the Croods.

Adding to this great offering is a variety of blockbuster movies from DreamWorks movie studio including Trolls, Shrek and How to Train Your Dragon 2 and 3, as well as Sing, The Secret Life of Pets and Minions from Illumination Studios.

Other key programs that the channel also includes are: Kung Fu Panda: Paws of Destiny and Noddy, Detective in the land of toys.

Cristián Novoa, Manager of Advertising and Content at VTR, highlighted that the premiere of the Dreamworks channel in Chile through VTR is an achievement with audiences in mind. “We are very happy to have reached this agreement and add to our grid the most important family entertainment channel, a world leader in animation. At VTR we are constantly searching for the best alternatives so that our clients can access high-quality content on the screens that each one chooses for their consumption. We are convinced that Dreamworks, added to our other alliances, will allow us to take the experience of watching television to the next level”, indicated the executive.

The channel, currently available in 40 territories in Asia Pacific, Africa, Europe and the Middle East, DreamWorks now also for the Chilean public expanding the pay TV portfolio of NBCUIN and DTC, available for affiliate partners in Latin America.
