<\/a>Cisneros Studios<\/a>, a leading independent producer of Spanish-language programming in the United States, today announced the hiring of Hugo Devana<\/a>, the Argentine actor, producer, and director with an outstanding career that spans more than 26 years in the industry.<\/p>\nHugo will assume the role of executive producer of the variety show hosted by the charismatic Mexican entertainer, actress, and comedian, Roxanna Castellanos<\/a>, and he will report directly to Juan Carlos Sosa<\/a>, EVP of Operations of Cisneros Studios, where the daily program, entitled \u201cRoxanna<\/a>,\u201d is produced.<\/p>\n \u201cThe integration of Hugo into the Cisneros Studios team is part of the strategy to strengthen and revitalize of our production team; we are extremely delighted to count on a professional of Hugo\u2019s caliber,\u201d stated Sosa.<\/p>\n Since 1989, Hugo Devana specialized in the trades of direction and production, obtaining recognition and respect from the industry for his excellent work in programs, such as \u201cEntre mujeres,\u201d \u201cEL escritor,\u201d \u201cIntimo en mi cocina con las estrellas,\u201d \u201cJusticia para todos,\u201d \u201c12 corazones,\u201d \u201cEstrellas de la m\u00fasica,\u201d \u201cProtagonistas de novelas,\u201d \u201c\u00bfQui\u00e9n baila mejor?,\u201d \u201cMujeres con historias y hombres tambi\u00e9n,\u201d and \u201cSudando la gota gorda,\u201d among others.<\/p>\n Hugo went on to work for Argentina Promofilm in 1998 before being transferred to Colombia for the production of \u201cMar\u00eda C Contigo\u201d for Caracol Television.\u00a0 He travelled to Venezuela in 1999 to produce \u201cJusticia para todos,\u201d a highly successful program for RCTV.\u00a0 And in 2002, he was hired by Imagina US as Director of Production & Content.\u00a0 During the coming years, he made internationally renowned productions in such countries as Spain, Peru, Colombia, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Mexico and the United States.\u00a0 Most recently, he held the position of Vice President of Production & Content for Ony Productions US.<\/p>\n Hugo Devana joins Cisneros Studios on the production of \u201cRoxanna,\u201d the variety show which was presented by Univision Communications, Inc.<\/a> during its recent \u2018Upfront\u2019 as part of a new wave of programming for its UniM\u00e1s network: \u201cRoxanna Castellanos will entertain Hispanics in the United States with a new daily program of interviews and variety.\u00a0 It will feature a live studio audience and a combination of celebrity interviews, comedy skits, and segments with real people, families, and more.\u00a0 The program will take this television star\u2019s humor to the screen, in addition to showcasing such celebrity guests as Eugenio Derbez<\/a> and Galilea Montijo<\/a>,\u201d wrote The Huffington Post\u2019s Voces<\/a>.<\/p>\n The show, which currently airs Monday through Friday at 6:00 PM on Venezuela\u2019s leading network, Venevision<\/a>, is an outstanding product among Cisneros Media Distribution<\/a>\u2019s programming portfolio.<\/p>\n <\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
