The renowned Mexican actress, star of La Reina del Sur<\/em> and Los Due<\/em>\u00f1os de; Paraiso<\/em> urged her country to cease the bull fighting business, which she called “barbaric” describing how the bulls are stabbed several times until, finally a matador tries to sever the backbone of the animals with a sword, with the ambition of being a winner and entertain only.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am very proud that in recent years Mexico has proven to be a nation with a vision of future. We have banned the use of wild animals in circuses nationwide, and two states – Guerrero and Sonora – have already banned bullfights. Animals that are publicly tortured and killed for the sake of entertainment.\u201d For the artist there are many forms of entertainment without having to resort to animal abuse, and less maintaining a tradition of the Roman period (precarious and primitive) which only causes horror in children who witness such savagery.
