Precious Pearl<\/em>,\u2019 which tells the love story between working-class Amelia (Bianca Bin, \u2018The Enchanted Tale\u2019) and millionaire Franz Hauser (Bruno Gagliasso, \u2018Merciless’), and little Pearl, the couple\u2019s daughter. Will air at noon, on Telemundo.<\/p>\nThe American channel, one of the world\u2019s largest producers of television content, has been Globo\u2019s partner for years. In addition to airing productions by the Brazilian broadcaster, it has co-produced successful telenovelas, such as \u2018The Clone,\u2019 based on the work of Gl\u00f3ria Perez, and \u2018My Dear Handyman,\u2019 a retelling of \u2018Looks & Essence,\u2019 by Aguinaldo Silva.<\/p>\n
\u00a0\u2018Precious Pearl\u2019 has also had its broadcasting rights sold to Telemundo PR, from Puerto Rico.<\/p>\n
With cinematic scenes recorded in the Himalayas and period sets and costumes, \u2018Precious Pearl\u2019 reached more than 26 million people per day in Brazil (source: Ibope). The telenovela also fared well in Portugal. Aired in the Globo basic channel, the telenovela constantly ranked among the 5 most watched pay TV shows in the country (Source: GFK). In January, \u2018Precious Pearl\u2019 premiered on Teledoce (Uruguay) and it was the second most watched program in the country in its slot during the first week of broadcasting. The telenovela has also been licensed to media group EPG (South Korea), to Armenia Public TV (Armenia), and the TV5 channel (Mongolia).<\/p>\n
