Co-productions are the order of the day. Hoplite Entertainment and Zumare Studios signed a co-production agreement. The first project is\u00a0Santurce<\/i>, a dramatic series set in the Caribbean city of Santurce, Puerto Rico.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/u><\/u>Marcos Zurinaga from Zumare Studios is the creator \/ producer. “We are very happy to partner with Hoplite, we see this as a strong beginning for a series of projects that will be developed and produced in Puerto Rico,” said who with Andy Garcia after collaborating on films like\u00a0The Disappearance of Garc\u00eda Lorca<\/i>\u00a0and\u00a0Modigliani<\/i>. Garc\u00eda is the executive producer of\u00a0Santurce<\/i>\u00a0and will direct all the episodes.<\/span><\/u><\/u><\/p>\n

Hoplite’s CEO, Jonathan Lee Smith said: “I have Brazilian roots, I’m more than excited to give life to\u00a0a multicultural series.”<\/span><\/u><\/u><\/p>\n

The audience will follow the intertwined\u00a0stories of five young artists in distress (from Latin America, North America and Europe) who sacrifice everything to express themselves in the face\u00a0of insurmountable obstacles.<\/span><\/u><\/u><\/p>\n

Hoplite Entertainment, an award-winning Emmy production company in Los Angeles, produces diverse content on TV, film, OTT and live, and has cultivated strong ties around the world.<\/span><\/u><\/u><\/p>\n

Zumare Studios, with over 30 years of experience in the global industry, director, writer and producer, Marcos Zurinaga with Carlos Zubrzycki created Zumare Studios. A production studio based in Puerto Rico, which develops and produces content for broadcast, emission\u00a0and theatrical release for international distribution.<\/span><\/p>\n
