Vega began his career as a local reporter at Televisa Puebla. Later he joined Milenio, a national media outlet, where he specialized in political affairs covering the Congress and Senate, the State Department and the President. As part of the \u201cSpecial Affairs\u201d team, he produced reports and anchored newscasts on Milenio Televisi\u00f3n, the leading news channel in Mexico. He was also an investigative journalist on Televisa\u2019s \u201cPunto de Partida with Denise Maerker,\u201d a bi-weekly show covering social, political and security issues. In addition, he was a news anchor and reporter at the teleSUR network.<\/p>\n
He holds a Communications degree from Universidad de las Am\u00e9ricas de Puebla and diplomas from Tecnol\u00f3gico de Monterrey, Centro de Investigaci\u00f3n y Docencia Econ\u00f3micas, and the University of Guadalajara.<\/p>\n
