The projects include\u00a0<em>Como ca\u00eddo del cielo<\/em>, a musical comedy inspired by the songs of iconic Mexican singer Pedro Infante, starring Omar Chaparro (<em>Overboard, No<\/em>\u00a0<em>manches Frida<\/em>,\u00a0<em>La boda de Valentina<\/em>) and Ana Claudia Talanc\u00f3n (<em>Perfectos desconocidos<\/em>,\u00a0<em>El recluso<\/em>,\u00a0<em>El crimen del padre Amaro<\/em>), written and directed by Pepe Boj\u00f3rquez (<em>M\u00e1s sabe el diablo por viejo<\/em>);\u00a0<em>Fondeados<\/em>, with Marcos Bucay (<em>Club de Cuervos; Yo, Potro<\/em>) in his debut as director and feature film writer;\u00a0<em>Se busca pap\u00e1<\/em>, a family movie produced by Coraz\u00f3n Films; and\u00a0<em>Ah\u00ed<\/em>\u00a0<em>te encargo<\/em>, a modern look at romantic comedy, written by Leonardo Zimbr\u00f3n and Tiar\u00e9 Scanda and produced by Traziende Films.<\/p>\n<p><em>Rio Grande, Rio Bravo<\/em>\u00a0is a project of five short documentaries with Gael Garc\u00eda Bernal as executive producer and produced by Elena Fortes and Daniela Alatorre of No Ficci\u00f3n, and includes directors such as Trisha Ziff, Juan Carlos Rulfo and Everardo Gonz\u00e1lez, telling stories that happen on the border between Mexico and the United States. In addition, other documentaries will be released before the end of the year that touch on topics such as historical events, crime, sport and gastronomy.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>A number of new projects will be added to our original Mexican series, including\u00a0<em>Los corruptores<\/em>, based on the homonymous novel by Jorge Zepeda Patterson, and the adolescent series\u00a0<em>Sof\u00eda H.<\/em>, both produced by Lemon Films;\u00a0<em>Bandidos<\/em>, produced by Leonardo Zimbr\u00f3n and created by Alejandro Brugues and Esteban Orozco;<em>\u00a0El Club<\/em>, which is already in its production phase, produced by Argos, created by Camila Ibarra and starring Alejandro Speitzer, Minnie West, Jorge Caballero, Axel Arenas and Arcelia Ram\u00edrez; and an untitled thriller produced by The Immigrant, with executive production of Camila Jim\u00e9nez and Silvana Aguirre.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Projects previously announced that will begin shooting this year include\u00a0<em>Selena: The series<\/em>, based on the life of Selena Quintanilla and produced by Campanario; the second season of Manolo Caro&#8217;s\u00a0<em>La Casa de las Flores<\/em>; and\u00a0<em>American Jesus<\/em>, based on the graphic novel by Mark Millar and produced by the brothers Leopoldo and Everardo Gout. After the success of their first comedy specials on Netflix, Franco Escamilla and Daniel Sosa will also return with new specials this year.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In Netflix, audiences around the world can discover the stories of acclaimed Oscar-winning directors such as Alfonso Cuar\u00f3n and Guillermo del Toro, as well as Mexican talent with worldwide profiles as Diego Luna, Jorge Guti\u00e9rrez and Gael Garc\u00eda Bernal, and renowned actors such as Luis Gerardo M\u00e9ndez, Marina de Tavira, Kate del Castillo, Ver\u00f3nica Castro and Cecilia Su\u00e1rez, and new voices such as Yalitza Aparicio.<\/p>\n<h1>An original Netflix event<\/h1>\n<h6><\/h6>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>OTT\/TV DE PAGO They are in different stages of production, including original content and co-productions for 2019 and 2020.
