Telemundo announced today that internationally acclaimed singer, actor and producer\u00a0Marc Anthony<\/b>\u00a0will receive the\u00a0<\/span>Latin AMA International Artist Award of Excellence<\/span><\/i><\/b>\u00a0<\/b>given for the first time ever at the\u00a0\u201cLatin American Music Awards\u201d (Latin AMAs)<\/b>.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

This special award is given to\u00a0artists\u00a0that turn the world around with their greatness, crossing over language, race or religion. Their nationality has no borders; they stand for peace, and their songs reverberate as musical anthems.<\/p>\n

In addition to receiving the recognition, the Puerto Rican artist is also scheduled to perform during Telemundo\u2019s live broadcast of the \u201cLatin AMAs\u201d on October 17 at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California. The award ceremony will also air simultaneously on Spanish-language entertainment cable network, Universo and in 20 countries throughout the Americas via Telemundo Internacional. Tickets to the awards show are on sale via Ticketmaster and the Dolby Theatre box office.<\/p>\n

Marc Anthony<\/strong>\u00a0is one of the most influential artists of his time, and a true ambassador of Latin culture and music. Songs like “Flor P\u00e1lida” and “Vali\u00f3 la Pena,” among others, have become fan favorites. His musical hits have also granted him countless gold and platinum awards from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), with more than 31 hits on the Billboard charts and over 7.4 billion views on YouTube.<\/p>\n

Anthony joins the previously announced lineup of stars that will perform at this year\u2019s event, including: \u00a0Ozuna, Becky G, CNCO, Gente de Zona, Farruko, Wisin & Yandel, Christian Nodal, Zion & Lennox, Beret<\/strong>,\u00a0Abraham Mateo, Sof\u00eda Reyes, Lupita Infante,\u00a0Kali Uchis<\/strong>, and\u00a0Emilia Mernes.<\/strong><\/p>\n
