Even with the uncertainty of the coronavirus the event did not take a step back, met the agenda and fulfilling the expectations of the participants. TVMAS as each year was present.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The event opened on Monday, March 2, prior to the official opening, with three free courses from Furukawa, Macrotics and Lacnic with a registration of more than 100 industry professionals, who participated in the seminars.<\/p>\n

Javier Bedoya, Commercial Manager for Furukawa Electric’s Andean and Central America Region, said that “the company has a plant in Colombia, inaugurated six years ago, focused on optical solutions and today there are 300 people who continue to make optical cables but now focused on pre-plugged systems. In the plant we have the staff that makes the completion of the connectors in such a way that in the field the installation plug and play is done, it is already 100% tested in plant.”<\/div>\n
On Tuesday 3 at 9am the event took off with a grand call filling the main hall of the Cartagena de Indias convention center. Already Luz Marina Arango, President of ANDINALINK and organizer of the event had announced that even with the uncertainty of the coronavirus the event would not stand back and would meet the prepared agenda and so it was. With the absence of several companies from China, the event filled the expectations of the participants in terms of themes, exchange of experiences and networking, surpassing previous editions.<\/div>\n

In the opening ceremony were Carlos Lugo Silva, Director of the CRC, and also shared words, Lorena Angarita, President of Red Intercable Colombia, Iv\u00e1n Mantilla, of the Mintic, some commissioners of the CRC, Marcelo de Ambrosio, of Cacpy Argentina, H\u00e9ctor Vega , from Naisp Colombia, and the delegates of the ISP associations of Mexico and Ecuador.<\/div>\n

The event was attended by medium-sized operators in Colombia -some such as TVN Norte with 42 headers- and the return of several Venezuelan service providers thanks to dollarization in their country. Another important fact is that the ISP segment has been consolidated in this event and this year the participation of the community was greater because the new regulation allows them to take the step to ISP continuing as non-profit companies.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
