Prensario International, in association with NATPE and Events TM to create “Virtual Screenings 2020”, a digital market that will replace the LA Screenings and with efforts to expand to other cancelled markets<\/strong><\/p>\n

Partners in the project include Prensario International, a pioneering publication with almost 50 years in the entertainment business, the National Association of Television Program Executives (NATPE), and EventsTM’s Isabella M\u00e1rquez, the traditional organizer of the suites for LA Screenings Independents at the Intercontinental Hotel. The organized e-meetings will recover the personal interaction and flow of business lost to the content industry from the canceling trade shows and marketplaces.<\/p>\n

Nicolas Smirnoff, director, Prensario International, explained: “Virtual Screenings 2020 will take place the same days that LA Screenings, both independent and majors: from May 12 to 21. It will target about 5,000 key buyers from around the world, who will access to content screenings of the main providers of the international market, in a very easy and friendly way”.<\/p>\n

Isabella M\u00e1rquez, CEO, EventsTM, added: “Now is a time for us to be creative and find new ways to come together. The desire for content, which has never been higher than in 2020 has not changed just because of the world’s event. The interface of the platform aims to be very simple. Buyers will register themselves for free to allow access to a home page with the logos of the distributors. Once there, they will be able to watch trailers, previews or complete episodes of the contents offered, along with the company information and complementary digital tools and services.<\/p>\n

All global distributors are invited to participate. This includes the Hollywood studios to independent producers, also leading distributors in Latin America, Turkey, Europe and Asia.<\/p>\n

“The response from the industry has been great. In fact, we launched the initiative pushed by many customer requests. We want not only to replace the cancelled markets, but also to create new, empowered tools for the digital era. The ‘Virtual Screenings’ must recover the business flow and add important digital value’, concluded Smirnoff.<\/p>\n
