Mondo TV Iberoamerica, a division of the Italian group Mondo TV, one of the largest European producers and distributors of animated content, has announced that \u2013 through its subsidiary Mondo TV Producciones Canarias \u2013 it is to be co-production partner for Nina & Olga, the brand new series created and conceived by the Italian boutique animation studio, Enanimation.<\/p>\n
Enanimation has already secured a deal for the TV series with, Rai Ragazzi, the kids\u2019 channel of Italian public broadcaster Rai.<\/p>\n
Nina & Olga is a 52\u00d77\u2019 2D HD animation for 4-6-year-olds, based on the globally popular preschool publishing property Olga the Cloud. The show is now in production, with a planned launch date of spring 2021.<\/p>\n

Mondo TV Producciones Canarias will share the pre-production phase of the show, while parent company Mondo TV S.p.A is responsible for the animation. Enanimation will have exclusive rights throughout the world, while Mondo TV Producciones Canarias will have exclusive rights in Spain and Andorra. Enanimation will have worldwide distribution rights, excluding the Mondo TV Canarias\u2019 territories Portugal, Latin America and the Spanish-speaking US.<\/p>\n
Created by legendary writer and illustrator Nicoletta Costa, and a global publishing success for over 30 years, Olga is a cute, funny and soft cloud, who is friends with the moon, the stars and the sun \u2013 and also children! And of course, as a cloud she wants to rain \u2013 but when is the right time?<\/p>\n
For Nina & Olga, Enanimation, the main producer of the TV series, has developed a new character, Nina. Nina is a special friend of Olga, who helps Nina to cope with everyday challenges. Olga helps Nina to understand and face her feelings, like a true Best Friend Forever, but a BFF who rains \u2013 and at the most unusual times!<\/p>\n
It\u2019s a rich, colourful world of children, parents, grannies and teachers, not to mention animals, birds the sun, moon and stars, all of whom come together as part of Nina & Olga\u2019s daily adventures.<\/p>\n
The first Olga the Cloud storybook was published in Italy in 1982. Since then, more than 80 titles \u2013 in picture book, board book, activity book and cloth book formats \u2013 have been published in Italy and abroad. Olga the Cloud has enjoyed a strong response in many countries outside Italy, but is particularly popular in China, Russia, Spain and the US.<\/p>\n
Writer and illustrator Nicoletta Costa\u2019s work has graced more than 400\u00a0 books to date. Her unique ability to see the world through the eyes of a child and her endearing characters like Giovanna the Moon, Mister Aquilone, Margherita the Sleepy Teacher, Teodora the Witch and of course Olga the Cloud, have gained her, and her work, global fame.<\/p>\n
Enanimation secured the rights to develop the popular pre-school publishing property in 2019, thanks to an exclusive deal with the prestigious Italian author.<\/p>\n
