Fotos: Televisa<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The story takes place in the &#8220;Instituto de Especialidades M\u00e9dicas&#8221; (Institute of Medical Specialties), an underfunded public hospital that happens to be one of the busiest in the country. Gonzalo Olmedo (Jos\u00e9 El\u00edas Moreno Jr.), an idealistic and committed neurosurgeon, is named chief of staff after his predecessor&#8217;s sudden death. He then discovers the intricate inner workings of the hospital, which is experiencing shortages caused by an overwhelmed public health system, and corruption plots threatening it. Gonzalo recruits a group of distinguished professionals led by Regina Villase\u00f1or (Livia Brito), a beautiful and brilliant surgeon who struggles between her career and love life and David Paredes (Daniel Arenas), a dedicated doctor who will do anything to save his patients.
