Gloria and Emilio Estefan support “Cala”, Ismael Cala’s new television program, which premiered on Monday July 20 on the MegaTV network, reaching the entire United States.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re supporting Ismael because he is someone who brings light and a positive vision to the world, things that are in such short supply these days,\u201d observed Emilio Estefan, who added, speaking on his own and Gloria\u2019s behalf: \u201cWe love him very much and wish him the best with this new program.\u201d<\/p>\n
Cala, in turn, expressed his gratitude for the \u201d honor and the blessing\u201d of having the support of this wonderful couple from the show business world. \u201cI\u2019ve enjoyed the friendship of Emilio and Gloria for many years, and they\u2019ve been an indispensable help to me at key moments in my career,\u201d he concluded.<\/p>\n
The program will be a variety show, both entertaining and informative, with commentary, humor, serious issues and, of course, Ismael\u2019s famous interviews.<\/p>\n
The rest of this opening week will feature other major figures, such as singer Natalia Jim\u00e9nez, television host Luis Chataing, actress Luc\u00eda M\u00e9ndez, sexologist Antonia L\u00f3pez, Doctor Maritza Fuentes, and Reggaeton duo Alexis and Fido.<\/p>\n

Ismael noted that the program has been made possible thanks to the trust of Ra\u00fal Alarc\u00f3n, owner of MegaTV; Alberto Rodr\u00edguez, the network\u2019s chief executive; Jos\u00e9 P\u00e9rez, Vice President for Programming; and Amer Mercado, executive producer of this brand-new season.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe program has an innovative format that captures the enchantment and great journalistic maturity\u201d of Ismael,\u201d P\u00e9rez commented. Mercado, for his part, stated that the program will present a Cala who is \u201cengaging and funny, who will be trying to convey a mood of hope to viewing households.\u201d<\/p>\n
Ismael Cala is a life and business strategist. For five and a half years he was the host of \u201cCala,\u201d on CNN en Espa\u00f1ol. A businessman and social entrepreneur, he is the author of eight bestsellers on issues of leadership, entrepreneurship and personal development, including El poder de escuchar (\u2018The power of listening\u2019), and Despierta con Cala (\u2018Wake up with Cala\u2019).<\/p>\n
Cala was born in Santiago de Cuba in 1969, and holds a degree in Art History from Oriente University.\u00a0 He is the co-author of the book \u201cBeat the Curve,\u201d with Brian Tracy.\u00a0 He graduated from the School of Communication at York University in Toronto and has a diploma from Seneca College in Television Production. He is the President and founder of the Cala Enterprises Corporation and the Ismael Cala Foundation.<\/p>\n
