TV<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">MAS<\/span> has been participating as a Media Partner for several years and celebrates its success this year.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The opening was led by senior government representatives in the telecommunications sector, the National Television Council, <strong>Arcatel<\/strong> and the President of <strong>CAPPSA<\/strong>, <strong>Sergio Veiga<\/strong>; the President of ISOS Media Group, <strong>Mar\u00eda Soto<\/strong>, and the President of the Chilean Chamber of Digital Infrastructure <strong>Rodrigo Ram\u00edrez,<\/strong> who explained that, although the event is not new, it contributes to a converging industry.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mar\u00eda Soto, President of Isos, an organizing group<\/strong>, called for the participation of women in the industry, and stated that \u201cissues such as convergence, artificial intelligence, piracy and streaming must be analyzed and discussed in this type of events,\u201d and invited everyone to be part of this meeting that brings together more than 70 speakers in an express two-day event in Chile.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>REGULATIONS A HOT TOPIC<\/strong><\/span>. <strong>Francisco Concha<\/strong>, manager of regulatory affairs and government relations, pointed out that \u201cit is important to address the issue of connectivity from education, creating digital improvement programs to teach people how to use, which allows in the long term to improve the digital divide.\u201d .<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">DIGITALIZATION and CHALLENGES<\/span>.<\/strong> <strong>Claudio Araya<\/strong>, Undersecretary of Telecommunications at <strong>SUBTEL<\/strong>, expressed that \u201cone of the main challenges is the emergence of other competencies such as streaming channels, which, in turn, should not prevent open television from continuing to make its maximum effort to evolve.\u201d along with new technologies.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">TRADITIONAL MEDIA AND FAKE NEWS<\/span>.<\/strong> The debate focused on the treatment of information, such as fake news. The panelists said reaching an amplified audience is key. <strong>Carlos Z\u00e1rate<\/strong>, journalist at <strong>Channel 13<\/strong>, pointed out that \u201cbefore, traditional media were the ones that decided people&#8217;s consumption, but today it is the users who decide what they want to watch, so it is important to be in tune with them.\u201d Likewise, <strong>Fabian Padilla<\/strong>, CEO of <strong>Fast Check,<\/strong> commented that \u201cit is essential that journalists are able to filter information to avoid falling into false and harmful content for the media.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">JUVENILE AUDIENCES ON OPEN TV<\/span>.<\/strong> <strong>Mariana Hidalgo<\/strong>, host programming for <strong>NTV-TVN<\/strong>, emphasized the importance of \u201cgoing in search of younger audiences and asking what service is being provided to help educate citizens.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">ONLINE PIRACY. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY<\/span>.<\/strong> The sixth panel of the event was on the social and cultural effects of online piracy. <strong>Daiana P\u00e9rez and Gardenia Revollo,<\/strong> lawyers at the <strong>Cervieri Monsu\u00e1rez firm<\/strong> from Uruguay and Bolivia, respectively, commented that the main affected parties are the State as a whole, the content creators, and the audience. For them, \u201cit is also essential to work on intellectual property law and create regulatory policies.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Regarding data infrastructure<\/span>,<\/strong> <strong>Felipe Gonz\u00e1lez<\/strong>, data protection manager at <strong>Claro VTR<\/strong>, commented that many of the current challenges are related to data protection, &#8220;uniform standards must be established at an international level and have protocols and regulations.&#8221; robust. A key issue and how this tool can be implemented in an ethical manner was discussed. <strong>Pablo Daniel D\u00edaz<\/strong>, CEO of <strong>The Grid<\/strong>, commented that \u201cthe current challenge is to incorporate AI throughout the value chain and make it become an everyday occurrence hand in hand with human intelligence.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Chilean industry influencers Dylantero and Diego Urrutia <\/strong><\/span>agreed that authenticity when creating content is key to generating value and loyalty with the audience.
