Commemorating National Voter Registration Day, NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises, the leading media company dedicated to serving U.S. Hispanics, announced the launch of its new civic engagement Get Out The Vote (GOTV) initiative \u201cT\u00fa Tienes el Poder. Vota.\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Driving \u201cT\u00fa Tienes el Poder. Vota.\u201d, the company unveiled a new public service announcement encouraging Latinos to register to vote and participate in the upcoming Fall elections. This impactful PSA brings together Telemundo\u2019s most recognized talent from hit shows like En Casa con Telemundo, La Mesa Caliente, Hoy Dia, and El Rojo Vivo.<\/p>\n

\u201cLatinos hold immense power in shaping the future of our country,\u201d said Christina Kolbjornsen, Senior Vice President of Corporate and External Affairs at NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises<\/strong>. \u201cWith more Latinos than ever engaging in the electoral process and making informed decisions, we are driving meaningful change. This campaign and new PSA reflects Telemundo\u2019s dedication to engaging voters with objective information, enhancing civic participation, and ensuring that every voice is heard.\u201d<\/p>\n

This fall, Telemundo and its community partners will host a series of impactful events across the country featuring nationally acclaimed talent, to promote civic engagement and inform communities nationwide about the importance of voting. These events will take place across major cities, including New York, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Denver, Charlotte, and Phoenix, bringing together influential national and local partners to emphasize voter registration, mobilize get-out-the-vote efforts, and provide essential election information.<\/p>\n

This significant election season initiative will culminate in comprehensive Election Night coverage, broadcast from Telemundo Center\u2019s state-of-the-art headquarters in Miami.<\/p>\n

Latinos represent the second-largest and one of the fastest-growing voting blocs in the United States. This year, approximately 36.2 million Latinos will be eligible to vote in the November elections, an increase from 32.2 million in 2020. Decisi\u00f3n 2024 highlights the crucial influence Latino voters will have in the presidential race, as well as in congressional, state, and local elections. Latinos are projected to make up nearly 15 percent of all eligible voters\u2014a historic high\u2014with substantial growth anticipated in key battleground states. Young Latinos are driving this expansion, with over 100 Latinos turning 18 every hour, and around 30 percent of eligible Hispanic voters now aged 18 to 29. Latino voters will head to the polls just two years after a record turnout in the 2022 midterm elections.<\/p>\n
