Saturday, September 28, after the premiere of \u201cSiempre hay un chileno,\u201d a new space led by journalist and presenter Jorge Said, \u201cEl peregrino,\u201d arrives on Channel 13.<\/p>\n<p>It is a never-ending journey along the mysterious paths of spirituality that will cover the most sacred and extreme places on the five continents.<\/p>\n<p>This new program will show the long pilgrimages of the well-known war and culture reporter, who will reveal the basis of the most important religions in the world, from their conflicts and the humanitarian crises they have caused throughout the history of humanity to the most unusual and grandiose pilgrimages.<\/p>\n<p>Jorge Said, the host and creator of the program, says that \u201cmaking this series has been for me the greatest challenge of my journalistic career, because it has meant integrating my work as a reporter in areas of conflict and war with the last tribes, the native peoples and the guardians of the planet and, finally, the great pilgrimages that man makes to get closer to his faith.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Said, behind recognized bets such as \u2018Buscando a Dios\u2019 and \u2018Las \u00faltima tribus\u2019 reflects, \u201cthe pilgrim is a tremendous challenge in physical, logistical and strategic terms, because we reached nearly 30 countries, and it was a journey through the five continents. We were in very complicated countries, such as Ukraine, Israel, Palestine, and we visited Ethiopia in Africa, all very difficult territories.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>NOW I AM ON THE ROAD TO LATIN AMERICA<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u201cEl peregrino\u201d will also go to Latin America, visiting the heart of the Aztec and Mayan cultures, where he will witness the terrible conflict with the conquerors, from the suffering imperial past to the popular Day of the Dead. He will also go to Brazil to show the religious traditions of Rio de Janeiro, Ouro Preto and Salvador de Bah\u00eda. Added to this are the Inca pilgrimages to the sacred mountains in the highlands of Peru and Bolivia.<\/p>\n<p>For Jorge Said, this program has a very special meaning, \u201cbecause it reflects, perhaps, what I have longed for most in my journalistic career, which is to reach those people who have no voice and to be able to deliver great content through the national screen.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Regarding returning to Channel 13, Said says that \u201cfor me it is a dream come true. Being able to be on open television and reach the entire territory of our country fills me with joy. In addition, it is good to reach places that do not have the possibility of having cable or other platforms.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">The first episode of \u201cEl peregrino\u201d, this Saturday, will be in Indonesia with a trip to the heart of Buddhism.<\/span><\/strong> Full of mysteries with a mix of religions and beliefs little known in the Western world.
