Today, Tuesday, March 18, the former Real Madrid player recalls his early days, how his signing for Real Madrid came about, and his difficult relationship with the press on the program “Los Amigos de Edu.”<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The current player for Club Le\u00f3n, a team in the Mexican League, will wait until the 2026 World Cup to decide on his future in soccer. The exclusive interview is also available on the Atresplayer platform, where he talks about national teams, soccer, and more.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Antena 3 Internacional exclusively broadcasts a new interview with “Los Amigos de Edu.” Following appearances on the program with fellow former Real Madrid players Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema, it’s now Colombian star James Rodr\u00edguez’s turn.<\/p>\n

The current player for Club Le\u00f3n in the Mexican First Division welcomes journalist Edu Aguirre to explain his personal and professional life since he began playing.<\/p>\n

James recalls that \u201cwhen I was 16, I was being harassed playing in Argentina.\u201d After his move to Europe, he explains that \u201cCity and PSG offered a lot of money for me,\u201d but his move ultimately came to fruition with Real Madrid: \u201cFlorentino (P\u00e9rez) told me: \u2018What do you want? Glory or money?\u2019 That’s why I signed for Real Madrid,\u201d he recalls.<\/p>\n

Regarding the top Latin American national team competition, in which his team, La Tricolor, lost to Messi’s Albiceleste, he raises a major question: \u201cArgentina won the Copa Am\u00e9rica final due to external factors. Why weren’t the VAR audio recordings released?\u201d<\/p>\n

Regarding his time in Spain, he admits that he felt \u201cmistreated by the press\u201d and, regarding the future, he is clear: \u201cI want to make it to the 2026 World Cup and then decide whether to stay or retire.\u201d<\/p>\n
