Is including diversity the best way to get new generations to watch movies? How can we engage the audience of the future through today&#8217;s media? These are some of the questions the roundtable &#8220;Diversity in Fiction and Gen Z: A Love Story?&#8221;\u00a0 an event taking place on Wednesday, June 17, aims to answer.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Participants include Margarita Guerrero Calder\u00f3n (Director General of the Youth Institute), artist <\/span><b>Samantha Hudson<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><b>Cristina Rocamora Ard\u00e8vol<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (Development Coordinator at Elastica Films), actress <\/span><b>Ouyang Zhu, and Paula Serna Arranz<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (Head of Research at ODA). The session will be moderated by <\/span><b>Pilar Toro<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, Director of Marketing and Communication at Filmin. The event is organized by the Observatory for Diversity in Audiovisual Media (ODA) and Filmin, with the support of Creative Europe MEDIA and State Museums.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center; font-size: 11px;\">Advertising<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-69438 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/tvmasmagazine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/tvmas_345x100_Halef-EsrafRuya.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"345\" height=\"100\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><b>OBJECTIVES<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To unravel the relationship between on-screen diversity and the interests of Gen Z, demonstrating through data and the insights of various industry professionals the importance of embracing inclusive narratives.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This dialogue is part of a series of activities organized by the Observatory and State Museums to mark the release of the *ODA 2026 Report*, which is being presented at <\/span><b>Espacio Fundaci\u00f3n Telef\u00f3nica<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. This pioneering European study analyzes the representation of LGBTIQA+ individuals, people of color, and people with disabilities in Spanish cinema and series, with the aim of dismantling existing stereotypes surrounding these communities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center; font-size: 11px;\">Advertising<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-70112 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/tvmasmagazine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/TVMAS_BANNER-345X100-01.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"345\" height=\"100\" \/><\/p>\n<p><b>The second activity takes place on Thursday, June 18, at 6:00 PM at the Cerralbo Museum. A screening of the film \u2018Extra\u00f1o R\u00edo\u2019 <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the debut feature by <\/span><b>Jaume Claret Muxart<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, which chronicles the sexual awakening of a queer teenager.
