- During the event in Cannes, France, the non-profit organization led by <\/span>President and CEO Michael D. Nieves<\/b> (a Puerto Rican native who has positioned the network as the number-one public media outlet for U.S. Hispanic audiences) announced the launch of \u2018<\/span>Vida y Salud,\u2019<\/b> a new 24\/7 linear television network.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

<\/p>\nThe channel will be available via <\/span>HITN MEDIA\u2019s digital platforms, HITN-Go<\/strong><\/span> and <\/span>VidaySalud.com<\/span><\/a> \u201cAlmost immediately following its U.S. launch, the channel will be available in Puerto Rico on <\/span>WIPR channel 6.3<\/strong>,<\/b> which is also carried by <\/span>Liberty Cable<\/strong>. WIPR will be the new network\u2019s first local affiliate, with a potential reach of over 1.3 million households,\u201d said <\/span>Michael D. Following a battle with breast cancer, she left behind a legacy defined by her dedication to health education within Hispanic communities; for over two decades, she served as a prominent expert on these topics across Spanish-language television.<\/p>\n
