The multicultural and pan-regional channel\u00a0 in Spanish devoted to telenovelas confirmed the signing of an agreement with Televisa for broadcast rights for a transmission package of novelas including the controversial adaptation of Coraz\u00f3n Salvaje<\/i><\/b>,\u00a0<\/b>as well as <\/b>Sortilegio<\/i><\/b>\u00a0<\/b>and\u00a0<\/b>Triunfo del Amor<\/i><\/b>.<\/b><\/p>\n
\u201cThis agreement marks the beginning of a strategic relationship with Televisa, one of the leading media companies in Latin America,\u201d asserted Alan J. Sokol<\/b>, President and CEO of Hemisphere<\/b>, owner of Pasiones<\/b> channel.<\/p>\n
Currently the channel has more than 11 million subscribers in the US and Latin America and is distributed by major cable providers, satellite and telecommunications in the country.<\/p>\n
One of the first selected offered to the public was Coraz\u00f3n Salvaje<\/i>, created by Mexican writer Caridad Bravo Adams<\/a> and published in 1957<\/a> with several adaptations.<\/p>\n There are five Mexican productions based on this story, and two films. Singer Ang\u00e9lica Mar\u00eda<\/a> interpreted Monica\u2019s<\/i> role in the 1968<\/a> film and in the 1977<\/a> telenovela, which was filmed in collaboration with the \u00a0Mexican Navy<\/a>.<\/p>\n In October 2009, premiered a new version by Salvador Mej\u00eda, entitled under its original name, its protagonists are Aracely Ar\u00e1mbula and Eduardo Y\u00e1\u00f1ez, which was filmed in the port of Alvarado, Veracruz. This adaptation managed technology never before used in a Mexican telenovela, including a natural scale of a sailing ship replica for use in a green screen set.<\/p>\n However, this version did not have the impact on the audience as did the adaptation starring Edith Gonz\u00e1lez and Eduardo Palomo, as Juan del diablo.<\/p>\n The telenovela, from the beginning, not had the expected\u00a0 success, since it received much criticism about the modification of the original version. In addition did not obtained the expected rating 1 and last but not least, of the 9 nominations which were nominated in the Premios TVyNovelas 2010<\/b><\/a> (owned by the same Televisa Group) not a single award was received.<\/p>\n This novela starring Aracely <\/b>\u00a0Ar\u00e1mbula<\/b>,\u00a0 Eduardo Y\u00e1\u00f1ez<\/b>\u00a0and\u00a0Cristian de la Fuente<\/b>\u00a0is being broadcast since last Tuesday, February 10 by Pasiones channel.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
