With more than 1,000 registrants, the 29th edition of ENCREGTEL, a benchmark event in the telecommunications sector, took place on June 25 and 26 in Rosario, Argentina. TVMAS has been a Media Partner of the event for several years.
Under the slogan “The New Era of Telecommunications,” the agenda featured current topics with experts and the participation of the Argentine Internet Chamber, ATVC, CAPPSA, RED Intercable, Nokia, Pinnacle, among other companies and associations. 18 training sessions, three workshops, eleven seminars, three workshops, and cutting-edge topics such as pre-connected optical networks, artificial intelligence, multiplatform strategies, streaming solutions, and proposals for cable operators and content creators were included.
The participation of Pablo Moncho, a graduate in audiovisual production and direction, on the panel “Intelligent Solutions for High-Performance Streaming Environments.” This workshop provided the necessary tools to develop live broadcasts with professional standards, delving into the dynamic world of live streaming. Pinnacle Group offered a workshop and cutting-edge audiovisual solutions.
Internet Networks without IPv4 in Latin America
The panel led by Carlos Martinez Cagnazzo, manager of LACNIC’s Technical Area, focused on the exhaustion of IPv4 space, a reality that particularly affects small ISPs in Latin America. Management techniques, alternatives such as IPv6 and CGNAT, and the tools and policies that LACNIC offers for efficient resource use were explored.
Mariano J. Peralta, with more than 25 years of experience in the sector and current manager of FTTH Alliance Origination at Vrio (DIRECTV/SKY), spoke about how to generate effective alliances for the deployment of fiber optic networks.
Expanded and Multiplatform Communication Strategies
Mg. Fernando Irigaray, a specialist in new information and communication technologies, addressed expanded and multiplatform communication strategies. His presentation delved into the concept of an expanded narrative universe, essential in today’s digital environment.

Working between cable operators and content creators
The debate, led by Federico Bassa, Daniel Pietroboni, and Nicolás Graizer, culminated with an important proposal: the creation of a collaborative working group between cable operators and content creators.
The trade show consolidated its position as a key point of the event, with the participation of more than 40 brands that presented the latest advances and trends in the telecommunications industry.
Finally, the “Academic Agenda 2025” concluded with a flourish with a presentation by Juan Ramón García Bish, who gave the keynote address “Key Decisions in FTTH: Planning a Time-Proof Network.” The presentation provided strategic tools for the design and implementation of future-proof fiber optic networks.
We must applaud Jorge Jacobi, founder of this event, which will celebrate its 30th anniversary next year, and Sabrina Catini, an integral part of the organizing and press committee, along with a team that provides hospitality and excellent service to participants and exhibitors.
