“From Script to Screen: Negotiate, Collaborate, Protect,” an intensive training space for producers, creators, and legal professionals in the sector.
As part of its fifth edition, the event will address, through real-life cases, the key legal aspects that define the viability of audiovisual projects in an international environment.
As part of its fifth edition, Iberseries & Platino Industria, the leading international meeting dedicated to the audiovisual industry in Spanish and Portuguese, announces the official call for the workshop “From Script to Screen: Negotiate, Collaborate, Protect.” An intensive training space for producers, creators, and legal professionals in the sector.

With a practical approach based on real-life experiences, this workshop seeks to strengthen legal and business knowledge applied to the development of audiovisual works, from rights acquisition to production risk management. The program will be held in person at Matadero Madrid over three days, during the event’s events.
Topics include negotiation and contracting of rights for scripts, music, and pre-existing works; intellectual property ownership, business models and contracts in international environments, as well as insurance management and risk prevention during production.

Renowned industry experts will participate, including Sydney Borjas and Rafael Fernández-Shaw (Scenic Rights), Camila Wilches (Sony Pictures TV International Production), Jesús Prieto (CREA SGR), and María Dolores Gutiérrez (Cinevent Online), among others.
PARTICIPATION AND SELECTION
The call is open until August 21, 2025, at 6:00 PM (Madrid time). Applications are open to active producers, showrunners, development executives, legal professionals in the audiovisual sector, as well as advanced students of production or audiovisual law.

Interested parties must have Iberseries & Platino Industria accreditation and register using the professional form on the virtual platform. A maximum of 50 participants will be selected based on their profile, background, and motivation to attend. The workshop will be taught entirely in Spanish. See Call for Entries
Iberseries & Platino Industria 2025 will take place from September 30th to October 3rd at Matadero Madrid. It is sponsored by EGEDA and Fundación Secuoya, in collaboration with FIPCA, with the support of the Community of Madrid and the Madrid City Council, and sponsored by Madrid Film Office, Film Madrid, and ICEX España Exportación e Inversiones, among other collaborating entities.
