Max Wynen, Vice President of Global Operations of The Kitchen.
- Max Wynen, Vice President of Global Operations and Head of The Kitchen’s European Language Center, based in Madrid, will present its language services at Iberseries & Platino Industria in Madrid from September 30 to October 3.
As Iberseries & Platino Industria celebrates its fifth edition, the event has become one of the main meeting points for platforms, television networks, creatives, producers, distributors, buyers, and industry players interested in reaching the growing global Spanish and Portuguese markets.
The Kitchen’s main headquarters are in Miami, due to its origins in the Latin American market, but it has expanded operations and services in Madrid to offer language services in Spanish, Portuguese, and other European languages for the international market.
Wynen, born in Argentina, explains the importance of his native language: “Neutral Spanish is, without a doubt, the core of most international sales, after American English. I’ve been in the industry for over twenty years, and the importance of localizing content into Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese remains key for other language needs.”
“From this Madrid office, we work with all languages, for all programming formats and genres. Our client portfolio includes BBC, NBCUniversal, Paramount, ZDF, Crunchyroll, Sony, Moonbug, Animaccord, ITV, Discovery, Mattel, and other major companies,” he concludes.
