- The world’s leading children’s conference and networking market offered a new format and the first flagship event of its transformation program.
- The event featured networking roundtables over the two days, bringing together producers, platforms, distributors, creators, financial partners, global players in the toy and video game sectors, and more.
With its traditional weekend schedule (October 11-12) preceding MIPCOM CANNES (October 13-16), MIPJUNIOR moved to the Palais des Festivals and focused on helping companies maximize business in the attention, creation, and experience economies. “MIPJUNIOR is being reinvented with a mission. The children’s sector is at the forefront of industry transformation and is increasingly influencing the broader media landscape,” said Lucy Smith, Director of MIPCOM CANNES and MIPJUNIOR. The event achieved its objectives by guiding companies to adapt and leverage innovative ideas, strategies, and programs, fostering new collaborations to reach children around the world who engage with current content.
Based on the all-time best-selling French manga by YouTuber Kevin Tran, “Ki&Hi in the Panda Kingdom” had its world premiere on Saturday, October 11. A pioneering anime comedy series, created especially for a 6-10-year-old audience, the stories of siblings ‘Ki (10) and Hi (6)’ have been adapted by Mediawan’s children’s and family label, Method Animation (The Three Musketeers, The Little Prince and Friends, Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir, Robin Hood: Mischief in Sherwood) along with Drawsome Studios and Belvision. The 52-episode, 11-minute series is a charming story that explores all the dynamics of sibling relationships: blackmail, fights, arguments, but also love, connection, and complicity in the fantastical Panda Kingdom.
“Ki&Hi offers children around the world a loving and imaginative reflection of themselves, allowing them to live their own experiences in age-appropriate adventures,” said Julien Borde, President of Mediawan Kids & Family.
The MIPJUNIOR program presented thought leaders, innovative business models, fresh content, and audience perspectives under the theme: ‘Transformation starts here.’ The event featured networking roundtables over the two days, bringing together producers, platforms, distributors, creators, financial partners, global players in the toy and video game sectors, and more. A global meeting point for the children’s industry, it gathered nearly 900 delegates from more than 60 countries in 2025.
The event promises a growing and successful MIP JUNIOR 2026, a positive transformation for the preschool, children’s, and teen content sector. The tentative dates are October 10-11, but these have not yet been officially announced. We recommend visiting www.mipjunior.com a round March.
