Let’s talk about joining Claro TV…
We have reached a great agreement with Claro TV in Central America and specifically with our ‘Canal Infantil’ in Colombia, which will allow us to reach more homes. We continue our expansion into pay-TV households in the region through recognized systems such as Claro, Millicom, and Entel, among others, and we are present in 22 countries.
To what do you attribute the success of your expansion in the region?
We work with operators to determine their signal delivery needs and adapt to them. For example, traditional cable pay-TV operators launching their closed OTT service can also offer our signals to their subscribers.
Some offer a direct app to subscribers. Does LEG also do that?
No. We don’t, so as not to compete with our partners who are offering this as added value to their customers. We support our affiliated operators, becoming their greatest ally in programming.
How do you monetize an ad-free channel offering?
We monetize through subscription fees, as we are premium channels, similar to HBO.
