ABS-CBN, the Philippines’ leading content company, is expanding the international presence of the series “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo,” which is currently in its fourth season. This expansion marks a new international milestone for the action-drama series, following its successful multi-year run as the highest-rated primetime show in the Philippines from 2023 to 2026 a period during which it enjoyed a strong reception on both television and digital platforms.

THE STORY

The story follows Tanggol, a young man trying to make his way in Quiapo (Manila) as he becomes an outlaw and uncovers the truth about his own identity.

LAUNCH IN AFRICA

This move is part of ABS-CBN’s ongoing strategy to expand the global reach of Filipino stories through international broadcast, streaming, and digital distribution agreements. Recently, ABS-CBN announced a multi-title streaming deal with Amazon MX Player one of India’s largest ad-supported video platforms where Indian viewers can now watch various series from the company. It also announced that “2 Good 2 Be True” is the first Filipino drama to air on free-to-air television in the Middle East via the Dubai One channel.

ABS-CBN has also signed a licensing agreement with Rakuten Viki to bring a selection of titles to more than 200 countries and territories across the Americas, Europe, Oceania, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia.
