- Bringing Arabic literary works into dramas that reflect the richness of Arabic storytelling to a wider audience through television and film.
In an initiative to strengthen the integration between the publishing industry and drama production in the Arab world, the Sharjah Literary Agency, in collaboration with Cedars Art Production – Sabbah Brothers and under the patronage of the Sharjah Book Authority, launched the “From Page to Screen” project. This project aims to transform Arabic literary works into professional dramas that reflect the richness of Arabic storytelling and present it to a wider audience through television and film.
The agreement was signed by Tamer Saeed, director of the Sharjah Literary Agency, producer Lama Sadek Sabbah, and Khawla Al-Mujaini, events director of the Sharjah Book Authority, during the Sharjah International Book Fair 2025. The Sharjah Literary Agency will manage the professional and legal aspects of the project, including nominating five literary works in the first phase, providing the production company with the necessary scripts, synopses, and treatments, drafting the legal framework governing the relationship between authors and producers, and overseeing the training program and the selection of its participants.
Cedars Art Production – Sabbah Brothers will manage the creative and production aspects of the project, including assessing the adaptability of the proposed works, providing professional screenwriters and directors for script development, facilitating participation in training workshops with their experts, offering technical and artistic consulting, and promoting the selected works in media outlets in subsequent phases.
The Sharjah Book Authority will oversee the project, providing logistical and media support for its activities, organizing events and workshops as part of its official agenda, and nominating a selection of award-winning or shortlisted literary works for adaptation.
“From Page to Screen” is a pioneering project that opens a new path in Arab cultural cooperation, consolidating Sharjah’s position as a platform that brings together creative minds in writing, publishing, and film. It also reaffirms the value of Arab narrative as a creative force capable of connecting with the world, through one of the largest production companies in the Arab world.

في مبادرة لتعزيز التكامل بين صناعة النشر والإنتاج الدرامي في العالم العربي، أطلقت وكالة الشارقة الأدبية، بالتعاون مع شركة سيدرز للإنتاج الفني – إخوان صباح، وبرعاية هيئة الشارقة للكتاب، مشروع “من الصفحة إلى الشاشة”. يهدف هذا المشروع إلى تحويل الأعمال الأدبية العربية إلى أعمال درامية احترافية تعكس ثراء السرد القصصي العربي وتقدمه لجمهور أوسع من خلال التلفزيون والسينما.
وقّع الاتفاقية كلٌّ من تامر سعيد، مدير وكالة الشارقة الأدبية، والمنتجة لمى صادق صباح، وخولة المجيني، مديرة الفعاليات في هيئة الشارقة للكتاب، خلال معرض الشارقة الدولي للكتاب 2025. وستتولى وكالة الشارقة الأدبية إدارة الجوانب المهنية والقانونية للمشروع، بما في ذلك ترشيح خمسة أعمال أدبية في المرحلة الأولى، وتزويد شركة الإنتاج بالسيناريوهات والملخصات والمعالجات اللازمة، ووضع الإطار القانوني الذي يحكم العلاقة بين المؤلفين والمنتجين، والإشراف على برنامج التدريب واختيار المشاركين فيه.
ستتولى شركة سيدرز للإنتاج الفني – صباح براذرز إدارة الجوانب الإبداعية والإنتاجية للمشروع، بما في ذلك تقييم مدى ملاءمة الأعمال المقترحة، وتوفير كتّاب سيناريو ومخرجين محترفين لتطوير النصوص، وتسهيل المشاركة في ورش العمل التدريبية مع خبرائهم، وتقديم الاستشارات الفنية والتقنية، والترويج للأعمال المختارة في وسائل الإعلام في المراحل اللاحقة. ستشرف هيئة الشارقة للكتاب على المشروع، موفرةً الدعم اللوجستي والإعلامي لأنشطته، ومنظمةً فعاليات وورش عمل ضمن أجندتها الرسمية، ومرشّحةً مجموعةً مختارةً من الأعمال الأدبية الفائزة أو المتأهلة للقائمة القصيرة للتكيف معها.
“من الصفحة إلى الشاشة” مشروعٌ رائدٌ يفتح آفاقًا جديدةً في التعاون الثقافي العربي، معززًا مكانة الشارقة كمنصةٍ تجمع المبدعين في الكتابة والنشر والسينما. كما يُعيد تأكيد قيمة السرد العربي كقوةٍ إبداعيةٍ قادرةٍ على التواصل مع العالم، من خلال إحدى أكبر شركات الإنتاج في العالم العربي.
