The studio and the Brazilian production company join forces for two titles yet to premiere: ‘La ira del heredero’ and ‘Las 7 Marías y Jesús’.
The agreement stipulates that the premieres will be available on Disney+ simultaneously with RecordTV.
Disney+ and Seriella announce a historic agreement for a package of productions—the vast majority from 2026, along with several yet to premiere—that will bolster the platform’s catalog of Brazilian originals.
The titles acquired by Disney+ include ‘Ben-Hur’ and ‘Amor en ruinas’ (Love in Ruins), both set to premiere in the second half of the year, as well as other content from 2026—such as ‘La ira del heredero’ (The Heir’s Wrath) and ‘Las 7 Marías’ (The 7 Marys)—plus the acclaimed biblical series ‘Jesús’ (Jesus), originally released in 2018. The agreement stipulates that all premieres will be available on Disney+ simultaneously with RecordTV, guaranteeing audiences immediate access to the productions on both broadcast television and streaming platforms. Furthermore, the contract reinforces the platform’s commitment to supporting and championing Brazilian television drama, thereby expanding its international visibility.

THE STORIES
Ben-Hur (2026) – A 50-episode series, currently in production, slated for a September premiere. A Brazilian mega-production based on Lew Wallace’s classic novel, comprising 50 episodes. The series promises to revisit this epic saga through a contemporary lens and high-caliber production values, featuring an all-national cast and grandiose settings. It is set to represent the largest investment ever made in a local series.
Amor en Ruinas (Love in Ruins) (2026) – A series (35 episodes) scheduled to premiere on July 20. Set in ancient Israel, it tells the story of a man called to experience a love defined by trials and forgiveness—serving as a direct metaphor for the relationship between the Divine and the people of Israel. The work explores themes such as emotional reconstruction, loyalty, and redemption. The romance unfolds amidst the moral ruins of a decaying society, evolving into a narrative about faith, hope, and resilience.
La Ira del Heredero (The Heir’s Wrath) (2026) – A 20-episode series. An epic mega-production: a wounded and resentful heir—Manasseh—silently breaks away from the faith that shaped him. In Assyria, he learns that power is not inherited; it is conquered. Subjected to brutal political and spiritual training, he discovers that ruling demands absolute control, sacrifice, and a willingness to cross boundaries he never imagined possible.
Las 7 Marías (The 7 Marys) (2026) – A 4-episode miniseries. An intense and profound suspense drama exploring the early life of one of the most significant women described in biblical texts—her conflicts and the journey that transformed her into one of history’s most prominent figures. The miniseries follows the journey of Mary Magdalene, a path marked by injustice, lost loves, suffering, resentment, and the impossible mission of carrying seven “Marys” within a single soul. Jesús (2018) – An already established hit, it returns to the catalog with a new exhibition window, reaffirming the reach of Seriella’s biblical productions.
