“Hermanos y detectives”, a series adapted from the original format by Telefe Studios
- France Télévisions premiered , during prime time, the TV movie adaptation of ‘Hermanos y Detectives’ (Brothers and Detectives), the hit series from Telefe Studios.
The first episode of the story created by Damián Szifron was a major ratings success in one of Europe’s most important audiovisual markets. Consequently, France Télévisions is currently evaluating the development of new episodes. The ‘Hermanos y Detectives’ format already boasts successful adaptations in various territories, including Italy (via Channel 5), Spain (on Telecinco), Russia (via Rossiya), Mexico (with Televisa), and Chile (on Chilevisión).
The French adaptation tells the story of a police officer who is assigned guardianship of her 10-year-old half-sister—a child whose very existence she was previously unaware of. Naturally, the officer—who would rather die than have a child—rejects this responsibility; however, she agrees to look after her sister while she searches for a suitable home for her. And after a rocky start, the two sisters learn to understand one another and form an extraordinarily effective problem-solving team.
Currently, the original Argentine version is available on Amazon Prime Video throughout Latin America, allowing new audiences to discover this Telefe Studios story that has already become a global phenomenon.
