The Association of Women in Film and Television (A.C.), presided over by Rossana Barro Palacios, announces the titles and projects comprising the Official Selection of this highly anticipated annual edition. The organizers reaffirm the role, narrative power, and profound critical perspective of women within the contemporary audiovisual industry.

Rossana Barro boasts an extensive background in dramatic literature and theater, having collaborated on special projects for IMCINE and Mexico’s Cineteca Nacional. Following a rigorous call for entries that attracted a wide range of proposals from both national and international sources, the jury—composed of prominent film industry professionals—selected works distinguished by high technical quality, aesthetic rigor, and thematic originality across the genres of fiction, documentary, animation, and experimental film.

Patricia Orleans.

Patricia Orleans, head of the event’s organizing team, states: “Each year, our showcase’s official selection mirrors the concerns, challenges, and innovative storytelling methods emerging from women’s perspectives. This space not only gives visibility to their work but also fosters community and decentralizes traditional narratives.”
