Being the first time that a format a non-Israelite screenplay is broadcast to the air in South Africa, Dori Media Group announced that it sold 14 episodes of Abot Hameiri’s hit reality, Dupla Vencedora to the South African television channel M-Net.
The reality experience that will air in April this year during prime time, is currently in the process of preparation by Afrokaans, a production company involved in many TV series for the matrix M-Net channels on the African continent.
Seeking to attract the public to participation, it was learned that some of the best-known celebrity couples are convoked by the producers to promote the successful reality.
Dupla Vencedora, is a humor reality; emotion, love, conspiracies and intrigues where eight couples face extreme challenges that test how they really know each other. Attaining great success in its market of origin in Israel as internationally, the format optimized the time slot of Channel 10 in Israel by 81% and a second season has been requested by the channel.
In relation to the significant sale, Nadav Palti, CEO & President of Dori Media Group, said: “We are very pleased to announce another international sale of Dupla Vencedora. This last sale is testimony to the adaptive capacity of the format and we are confident that the spectacle will be as successful in South Africa as it has in other parts of the world. The fact that Dupla Vencedora will be the first Israelite format without screenplay that will air in South Africa, an important event for Israelite formats, and hopes to be able to increase sales of Israelite shows to this region.”
Furthermore, Dupla Vencedora expanded its sales in Portugal, Brazil, Finland, Denmark, Germany, Sweden, Norway, USA, England and Italy.
