Holly Hunter joins the cast of Succession

The multi-award-winning actress joins the cast of HBO’s original drama, Succession, to interpret the role of Rhea Jarrell, the clever CEO of a rival media conglomerate.

The star won the Academy Award for Best Actress for her performance in The Piano directed by Jane Campion, in addition to receiving Oscar nominations for her performance in Broadcast News by James L. Brooks, The Firm of Sydney Pollack and Thirteen of Catherine Hardwicke.

Hunter was recently acclaimed for her performance in the comedy produced by Judd Apatow The Big Sick directed by Michael Showalter, obtaining nominations for both the SAG Award and the Independent Spirit Awards.

Created and executively produced by Jesse Armstrong, the second season continues to follow the Roy family as they struggle to retain control of their empire and although the future seems increasingly uncertain it is the past that threatens to destroy them.
