Viacom International Studios (VIS) Americas wraps production of Ana the comedy series co-created, produced and starring the renowned Mexican actress Ana de la Reguera

Ana will premiere in Latin America by 2020 and air on Comedy Central and Amazon Prime Video. Filming of Ana began in June on location in Veracruz, Mexico, Ana de la Reguera’s hometown, and continued shooting in different locations in Mexico, culminating in the city of Los Angeles.
Ana is the story of the daughter of a Mexican beauty queen who seeks stardom as a Hollywood actress, all the while fighting against the passage of time and the weight of her mother’s unfulfilled dreams. The series reveals how Ana lived a life ruled by appearances while looking for the iconic role that would finally allow her to achieve success. Does she label herself in the process? Or, will she finally accept that she is more like her mother than she chooses to admit?
Ana de la Reguera, the protagonist of the Ana series, is well known for her characters in film and television. Her most recent leading role was in the highly acclaimed Amazon Original series Goliath by David E. Kelley; she held a recurring role on the hit show Power and was a guest on Narcos and Jane the Virgin. She is also known for her performance as Sister Encarnación next to Jack Black in the feature film Nacho Libre. She previously worked with VIMN Americas when she participated in the Mexican adaptation of the successful Comedy Central series, Drunk History.
