TelevisaUnivision, the world’s leading Spanish-language media and content company, today announced that ViX+ is now available in the U.S., Mexico, and most of Spanish-speaking Latin America, with a monthly price of US$6.99 in the U.S. and MX$119 in Mexico. ViX+ is the premium tier of ViX, the first large-scale streaming service created specifically for the Spanish-speaking world. Consumers of ViX+ will now have access to more than 10,000 hours of entertainment, with more than 70 original series and movies in the first year – which represents, on average, at least one new original premiere per week. ViX+ will also showcase more than 7,000 hours of live soccer in the U.S. and 3,000 live games a year to super-serve fans with the best competitions and leagues around the globe. ViX+ is the only Spanish-language streaming service in the U.S. with full coverage of the UEFA Champions League, Europa League, and Conference League matches.

Exclusive premium original productions available at launch include the bio series of Mexican icon “María Felix, La Doña,” “La Mujer del Diablo,” as well as a new series created by Leonardo Padrón and the docu-series “Mi Vecino El Cartel,” by executive producer Selena Gomez. Also, ViX+ subscribers will see global premieres of highly anticipated movies available exclusively on the service, including “Mirreyes contra Godinez 2, ‘El Retiro’” and “Enfermo Amor” premiering July 27. In addition to the on-demand content offering, ViX+ subscribers will have access to:

  • Catch Up Linear Programming: U.S. subscribers will be able to catch up with their favorite prime time Univision shows 72 hours after they air on the channel, while in Mexico they can watch selected shows from las estrellas channel on the same day.
  • Linear Channels Simulcast: Mexico and Latin America subscribers will be able to view live TV channels including Distrito Comedia, while Mexico subscribers will additionally get las estrellas, Canal 5, TUDN, and Nu9ve all in one place.

New content coming to ViX+ in August includes anticipated films such as: “Leyendas El Origen,” “Las Vocales” and “Me Casé con un Idiota” and original series including” Sobreviviendo los 30” and “Turbia,” plus new weekly episodes of “Maria Felix, La Doña.”

Registered users of ViX, the free ad-supported tier, will have access to stream select episodes from a variety of new ViX+ Originals, and can subscribe easily via the app.
