EVENTS | AWARDS | CHILDREN’S CONTENT – PRE-TEENS AND TEENS
The list of preselected candidates for the Kidscreen Awards 2024, whose winners will be known on February 5 of next year, during the grand gala to be held at the Kidscreen Summit in San Diego, California.
Leading the way is the adaptation of the Disney Channel comic, Marvel’s Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur, which competes for Best New Series, Best Animated Series, Best One-Off, Special or TV Movie and Best Inclusivity in the children’s programming category.
Another giant with 16 nominations is Paramount Global. Among the shortlisted candidates is Nickelodeon’s streaming application, Noggin, which competes for Best Streaming Service only for children in the Broadcasting category, and Best Branded Learning Application in the Digital Preschool category.
Netflix follows with 12 nominations, competing with the intergalactic action-adventure series My Dad the Bounty Hunter for Best Animated Series in Children’s Programming, and the popular anime adaptation One Piece will also compete for Best New Series in Tween and Teen Programming.
The Kidscreen Awards celebrate the television and digital media work that keeps children and families entertained around the world. This year, more than 550 nominations were received from around the world in more than 50 categories spanning programming, broadcasting and digital media.
