NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises is one of the media industry leaders in the production and distribution of Spanish-language content for Hispanics in the United States and audiences in many countries. Billboard’s second annual Latina Women in Music gala, which celebrates Latina women who are proactively working to create positive change, inclusion and gender equity in the music industry, was broadcast on Telemundo.

This year’s list of honorees included Gloria Estefan, Karol G, Camila Cabello, Ana Bárbara, Ángela Aguilar, Kany García, La India and Kali Uchis. Hosted by Jacqueline Bracamontes, the two-hour musical special featured powerful musical performances, grand tributes and emotional tributes.

Cuban Emilio Estefan, prominent music producer of stars including Shakira and Thalia, had a surprise participation to present the “Leyenda” award to his wife and global artist, Gloria Estefan. In addition, renowned artists Gale, Sergio George, Arthur Hanlon, Elena Rose and Juliana participated in special presentations and collaborations to celebrate the year’s honorees.

Billboard Latina Women in Music recognizes the importance of Latina women and aims to celebrate women who have had a positive impact on Latin music and the industry in the past year.
