Emiliano Calabro, Programming Director of Channel 26, was received by David Ecker, DW Distribution Executive, at the German station’s headquarters. They say they are satisfied and did not hesitate to ratify the cooperation, which has been uninterrupted for more than two years.

In this case, they not only discussed DW’s presence in the region, but also the possibility of adding Channel 26 content to its grid. The agreement took place within the framework of the “Global Media Forum” in the city of Bonn, Germany, with the participation of media from around the world, including the Argentine signal.

“Canal 26 is a key partner for us, due to the type of content it broadcasts and the reach it has in Latin America,” said Ecker.

Around 1,500 professionals from more than 100 countries gathered in the former German capital to participate in the event, which this year had as its central themes threats to journalists, misinformation and the transformation proposed by artificial intelligence. Among the most important interventions at the event, those of the German Minister of Foreign Affairs, Annalena Baerbock, and that of DW’s own director general, Peter Limbourg, stood out.

Channel 26 has a significant number of strategic alliances with media and agencies around the world, thus achieving greater information diversity, in addition to the seal of quality and authenticity that these types of agreements provide.

Channel 26, available in Argentina and in different Latin American countries, is one of the news networks with the largest audience, with live programming 24 hours a day from Monday to Sunday with national and international news. Social networks accumulate more than 1.5 million followers.
