The announcement was made by TelevisaUnivision and Vix confirming an agreement with UniMás.
Thanks to the agreement with Florinda Meza, widow of the famous comedian Roberto Gómez Bolaños, creator of the most iconic series on Mexican and Latin American TV, the series will be available on ViX and the TelevisaUnivision windows.

El Chavo del 8 returns to Mexico and several Latin American countries, with famous characters such as Doña Florinda, La Chilindrina, Quico, Don Ramón, El Profesor Jirafales, Doña Clotilde, El Señor Barriga, Ñoño and La Popis. The agreement includes all 273 episodes of the comedy series.
Starting September 23, the programs will be broadcast on UniMás, an American open television network owned by TelevisaUnivision aimed at Hispanic audiences and on the ViX platform.

“We did it! The ‘Chespirito’ shows are back. We’re going step by step, but thanks to his love and his requests, we made it happen together,” wrote the comedian’s widow on the X network, including an image with a barrel and a heart, clear references to El Chavo and El Chapulín Colorado.
