A renowned pediatrician with a knack for uncovering the root causes of children’s health issues is bringing his unique approach to Hispanic audiences nationwide. Dr. Eduardo Faganello, affectionately known as Dr. Faga, is a seasoned Argentinian pediatrician whose investigative skills have helped countless families in Colombia and Argentina.
This September, Dr. Faga’s popular television show, “Dr. Faga,” will make its U.S. debut on HITN-TV, the nation’s leading Spanish-language public broadcaster. The show, a beloved family favorite in Latin America, offers a refreshing perspective on children’s health.
Dr. Faga’s unconventional approach emphasizes empathy, curiosity, and a deep understanding of the child and their family. He believes in fostering a supportive environment where parents and children can work together to address health challenges. Instead of simply treating symptoms, Dr. Faga delves into the underlying causes, much like a detective, providing families with the information and tools they need to promote their child’s overall well-being.
“It is a dream to bring my experience and knowledge to Hispanics in the United States. With this television program, we seek to share concepts useful for the upbringing of children and adolescents and amplify the experience of a pediatric clinic so that viewers feel empathy with the cases we present. For me, being in front of a family, especially in front of children, seeing their gaze and listening to them, is an irreplaceable satisfaction as a doctor and a person,” said Dr. Faga.
With over forty years of experience in pediatrics, Dr. Faga has treated thousands of children and understands the integral role that family plays in a child’s health. He practiced at the Mater Dei Sanatorium in Buenos Aires for over 15 years and served as director of the Belgrano Pediatric Center for 24 years before establishing his private practice. His methodology and philosophy view health holistically, emphasizing that true well-being is influenced by nutrition, family dynamics, home environment, learning, and autonomy.
“Dr. Faga’s insightful television show sheds light on critical issues affecting Hispanic families, offering compassionate guidance and expert knowledge,” said Erika Vogt-Lowell, HITN’s Director of Programming and Acquisitions. “His empathetic approach has facilitated conversations between families on tough topics including divorce, eating disorders, chronic illnesses and technology use. By giving a wider audience to Dr. Faga’s work, we hope to see even more families well-equipped to handle the challenges of living and parenting in the modern world.”
“Dr. Faga” will premiere on HITN-TV on Tuesday, September 10 at 10am ET/PT. Subsequent episodes from Seasons 1 and 2 will air on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10am ET/PT.
Alongside the launch, HITN-TV and Dr. Faga are teaming up to share wellbeing resources to support families’ physical, emotional and mental wellbeing. A free webinar, “Conversación Con El Dr. Faga Sobre El Bienestar De La Familia,” will air on Thursday, August 29 at 8pm and 11pm ET/PT. The session will address issues that are top-of-mind for many parents and families, including routines and healthy habits, healthy eating, boundaries and discipline, and access to video games.
