From February 5 to 7, the InterContinental Hotel Miami will be the meeting place for the entertainment industry with the celebration of NATPE Global 2025. The event innovatively brings the Realscreen Summit, the largest meeting of “Reality RC and documentaries in the world, to the last day.
In this way, it aspires to consolidate itself as one of the most relevant content markets in North America, attracting industry leaders, buyers and creators from 23 countries.
On February 5, David Eilenberg, head of content at Roku, will offer a keynote speech to a joint audience, sharing his vision on the future of entertainment and streaming content. This partnership underscores the importance of integrating the best of scripted and unscripted content into a unified platform.
NATPE Global 2025 will host more than 200 buyers and representatives from key companies such as Amazon Prime Video, Paramount, Sony Pictures Television and TelevisaUnivision. Confirmed international studios include BBC Studios, Lionsgate, NBC Universal and Warner Bros. Discovery, as well as notable exhibitors such as Caracol Televisión and Mediapro Studios. This level of participation reinforces NATPE Global’s position as an essential market for networking and partnership development.
NEW ACTIVITIES INCLUDED THIS YEAR
The 2025 edition will mark the debut of the NATPE Honors gala, hosted by Nischelle Turner. This inaugural event will recognize pioneering figures who are transforming the entertainment industry. Honorees include Paul Buccieri (A+E Networks) and Luis Fernández (NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises), who will receive the Estrella del Norte Award for their transformative leadership. Other awards include the Shift Disturber, given to Kelly Day (Prime Video) and Betsy Beers (Shondaland), and the New Establishment, given to Brian Tannenbaum (Roku Media).
Additionally, the WAWA Woman of the Year will be recognized during NATPE Global, highlighting leadership and diversity in the industry. This award, which returns to its home in Miami, reflects a deepened collaboration between NATPE and WAWA to foster an inclusive and diverse audiovisual industry.
The event will offer conferences led by key figures such as Evan Shapiro, who will address changes in media consumption and its impact on the future of television, and Fede Goldenberg of YouTube, who will share innovative strategies to create direct-to-consumer audiences and monetize content on digital platforms.
The agenda will also include the international television format competition Formagination, a showcase for innovative ideas that could define the next television hits. Finalists will receive mentorship from Armoza Formats and access to both events.
NATPE Global will also be part of Realscreen’s DIALOG mentoring program, expanding its reach to include both scripted and non-scripted content. This program seeks to connect emerging executives from underrepresented communities with high-level mentors, fostering diversity and equity in the industry.
