Following the ‘Books That Inspire Screens’ call for entries—launched by the BAFC in 2025—the agency selected seven projects to initiate discussions regarding potential representation, conducting one-on-one virtual meetings with each of the authors.

Carolina Cordero, fundadora y promotora de IBEROFIC.

Carolina Cordero, Director General of Cultural and Creative Development at the BAFC, stated: “The agreement we have initiated with Scenic Rights is part of our strategy to internationalize talent from Buenos Aires and create new opportunities for our creators. This collaboration stems from the work we have been doing through initiatives like ‘Creative Bridges’ and ‘Books That Inspire Screens,’ which strengthen the link between the publishing and audiovisual industries. We will continue to launch calls for entries and build bridges with key industry players so that more stories originating in Buenos Aires can be developed, adapted, and reach new audiences.”

This agreement reflects the growing interest in literary adaptations within the audiovisual sector and the importance of continuing to strengthen ties between the publishing and audiovisual industries. The program thus establishes itself as a strategic tool for developing original content, internationalizing local talent, and fostering new interdisciplinary collaborations.
