The Kitchen, the entertainment industry’s only Emmy Award-winning language localization and media services studio, celebrates its 25th anniversary in 2026, reaffirming its long-standing commitment to the global content community.
As the company marks a quarter-century of helping content creators, distributors, broadcasters, and streaming platforms reach audiences worldwide, The Kitchen’s leadership team will meet with clients and partners at the industry’s most influential international events. Liz Clarke, Director of Global Sales, will represent The Kitchen at IBC, while President and CEO Ken Lorber, Executive Vice President and CMO Deeny Kaplan, Senior Strategic Advisor Josh Pine, and Clarke will participate in MIPCOM in Cannes.
Ken Lorber, President and CEO, says: “For 25 years, The Kitchen has been dedicated to a simple yet powerful mission: helping great content connect with audiences everywhere. As the global media landscape evolves, the need for high-quality localization, accessibility, and cultural adaptation services is greater than ever. We are proud of our history, grateful to our clients and partners, and excited about the future of international content distribution.”
The Kitchen’s 25th anniversary coincides with unprecedented demand for multilingual content, driven by the expansion of streaming platforms and broadcasters into international markets. From scripted and unscripted entertainment to children’s programming, animation, feature films, documentaries, and FAST channels, The Kitchen continues to provide comprehensive language services that allow content to seamlessly transcend borders.
“MIPCOM has always been one of the most important events on our calendar,” noted Deeny Kaplan, Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer. “For 25 years, it has provided an unparalleled opportunity to strengthen relationships, discover new opportunities, and celebrate the global content business. The connections we forge at MIPCOM and IBC continue to shape our growth and reinforce our commitment to serving the international media community.” One of The Kitchen’s most successful and enduring market initiatives remains MIP CLIPS, the multilingual promotional tool that allows distributors and rights holders to present content in multiple languages directly to international buyers.
Developed over two decades ago, The Kitchen’s MIP CLIPS allows attendees to experience programming just as a local audience would, creating an immediate and memorable connection with potential buyers on the exhibition floor. “Hearing content in your own language changes everything,” stated Liz Clarke, Director of Global Sales. “While posters and brochures are important, localized content creates an instant connection.”
During IBC and MIPCOM, The Kitchen team will be available to discuss the company’s full range of localization and accessibility services, including translation, adaptation, dubbing, subtitling, closed captioning, audio description, M&E (music and effects) track recreation, and multilingual content preparation for any genre and platform.
